2008 ISOE International ALARA Symposium
The 2008 ISOE International ALARA Symposium was held on November 13-14, 2008, in Tsuruga, Japan.

The symposiuim was attended by about 90 participants from 14 countries.

There were many interesting presentations. Two of them were selected as distinguished papers: Mr. Shigeru Ito (Tohoku Electric Power Company, Japan) presented the measures for the exposure reduction at Higashidori Nuclear Power Station, and Mr. Patrick Daley (Braidwood PWR,USA) presented Braidwood Station Alternate Post Peroxide Cleanup Methodology.

Five distinguished papers from previous Symposia in North America, Asia and Europe were also presented. Key Note Speech was given by Mr. Jacques Lochard (OECD/NEA CRPPH Chair) on ALARA and Occupational Exposure.

The participants visited also Monju site of fast breeder reactor on the previous day
(12 September).
